We
hate to steal Nike's line, but it's one of the best slogans
EVER. So you have an idea for a new product or service. You know
it will be great. You know it will sell. You know YOU can run
the show. Good, now go write a 50-page business plan. Doesn't
sound like too much fun, does it?
Yet, it's a necessary evil. A business plan is absolutely VITAL. You must nail down in exact
detail - the who, what, when, where, why and how. |

must be able to accurately project how many units you'll sell, what it
will take to sell them (and what it will COST), and how you will grow.
The business plan is the roadmap to funding, operating efficiency,
success, and growth.
But it's also an arduous task. Anyone can download an outline or a
sample plan from the internet, but filling it in with your specific
business and pinning down exact expenses and projections can be time
consuming. And time is the most precious commodity for any start-up. So
